Cats

It is funny, I keep meaning to update this page but since Pepé died in January of 2003 I really haven’t been able to be enthused about it.

Pepé does have her own web site though so I guess I do have a legitimate excuse for not worrying about a sub section of this site!

The ideal solution would be to have a memorial to the sweetest dearest cat I have ever known and to be honest I will get around to it. Until then check out her web site as I think it is as best a memorial as I can consider.

She was, and always will be very very special to me and I miss her dearly.

Until recently (February 2007) two cats who shared our home and had done since 2003. Brandy (left) and Jerry (right).

During an altercation in June 2003, Brandy escaped. She managed to get trapped in a bush and bit through my finger when I tried to rescue her. Even with this kind of behaviour we love her dearly.

Jerry unfortunately and unexpectedly passed away in February 2007 when he suffered a stroke. We knew he had a heart murmur but this had developed into heart disease and unfortunately we lost our brave little boy at only 7. He was fit, he was active but sadly he was taken from us so suddenly. He was such a character (as you can tell from the image on the right), we will never forget him.

Brandy won't forget him either - she still wanders the house looking for her soul mate.

Brandy can be quite a bully, Jerry would have agreed. To quote Missy Elliott, She's a Bitch! (It's almost like that song was written for Brandy!) Then again, when we used to give Jerry some catnip it brought out the bruiser in him!

Some people are dog people and some people are cat people – I am more than happy to be a cat person (honestly I don’t understand the dog attraction at all!)
