Warm and fuzzy!

Today we decided to beat the winter chill and take a drive to Waddesdon Manor for a walk around the grounds.
We invited Dan along for the day as we knew he was interested in Trust properties etc and thought it would be nice to show him this lovely estate.
We were all in for a pleasant trip though unbeknown to us the house had been decorated for Christmas. The grounds were festooned in numerous trees with lots of lights illuminating the area but the biggest surprise was on the interior.
Richard and I fully expected the house to be closed but this too was given a Christmas make over.
We got to see parts of the house that are not usually open and this in itself was a real treat. The fact that the house had huge pines tastefully decorated in every corner was a bonus.
As you can see from this photograph of myself and Dan, even the halls were given the Grotto treatment!
Of course all this high camp Christmas get up has just set me into a real festive mood now. I suppose I should really step away from the computer, seize the moment and make a start on my cards!
