Music has always moved me and I can guarantee that even though I have a huge music collection even I must confess that the things that stir my soul are pretty similar.

It would appear that an acoustic set comprising of piano, strings and a good soulful voice are what get to me. Why do I mention this? Well I find myself in front of the TV watching TMF and there is a session of 'Booty Beats' on the air. Most of it is bog standard hip hop and R&B licks but smack in the middle of it they drop John Legend's Ordinary People.

I always am moved by this track but the video is something else - adding the strings past the middle eight is just sheer genius. I usually well up listening to this song, it's so moving and his voice is so powerful, but add the string section and it's all I can do to contain myself.
