Well it's Saturday (at long last) but unfortunately it is a little overcast. Typical as we are off to a friends barbecue this afternoon! I am sure it'll will be very British! (Yes that does mean I am dressing for summer but taking an umbrella!)

Just read that Mylo has a release date for his new single Doctor Pressure. As it contains samples of Miami Sound Machine I can only imagine this must be a mash of Doctor Beat ;)

I am also really excited by the new Stewie Griffin Movie, I adore Family Guy. It has to be one of the funniest things on TV, far funnier that The Simpsons which it keeps getting unfairly compared to. I hope the latest season, currently being aired in the States, makes it over here soon.

I've been using my iPod recently to listen to playlists I have automatically generated that fit certain criteria. This has opened a whole new listening experience, mainly because it has reminded me of music I have that I have not heard in ages. This then lead me to chase a copy of God's Stepchild by Janet and the first album from the Fun Lovin' Criminals (both of which I have been meaning to get my paws on for ages).

My search led me to Amazon and as ever I am not real surprised by the things you can find in the Market Place. What does surprise me is the price at which people put things up for sale. The FLC CD cost me 40p - it cost them 47p to send it!!! Where is the sense in that?

I have remembered to update my iPod content page too... I am sure this will give a pretty broad idea of my musical tastes.

Following on from my previous blog entry about How I Paid for College, I just want to say thank to Marc Acito for the lovely response to my email. I really look forward to his next book and wish him every success.

It's interesting to see what people take photo's of and more interesting to see what they choose to upload to Flickr. Maybe Richard and I should try to do a Rock Guy kind of shoot? I just wonder where you would go to take such a collection of photo's and what would happen if you were spotted?

Hopefully next weekend we'll both be a bit brighter, and the weather will be sunnier as we are off on a dawn nature walk. Sounds kind of extreme but we did it last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just hope we actually get to see a bit more wildlife this time around!
