Love the Flickr

Boy you have got to love Flickr - I don't care who took this shot I am just happy that people out there feel the need to share!

Why am I posting this? Probably cause I have little else to say... Well little else without offending anyone that is!

I am not cranky just annoyed at the way the news coverage is moving regarding the London bombings... At no point has any Muslim person admitted the bombers were part of their community... Muslim clerics have dismissed the actions but no one has actually uttered the words...

I don't understand why all (yes all) of the "young Muslim men" interviewed by various news channels has made one comment or another about "protecting his brother in Iraq".

I am sorry, if you are born in Britain does that not make you British? I don't feel the need to justify a fellow Englishman blowing himself up abroad as an attack against something that happened to a fellow countryman... What is up with these people?

If religion is so important to them and Iraq is so important to them, maybe they should visit and see what things there are really like. I bet it wouldn't be too long before they race back to the safety of Blighty.

I never thought I'd hear myself think or say such potentially racist things but to be honest I don't see how any other cultures thinking the above could be classed as thinking anything else either!

OK rant over... (and I said I wasn't going to, go figure!)

I think I need some of these on my desk to help keep me calm!

Oh yes, the photo on the left reminded me of someone, Luke I think ;) Cannot remember what it was that jolted my memory - maybe it had something to do with washing machines! ;P
