Crash Bang...

Richard and I were sat enjoying the Proms concert last night, Placido Domingo made his Proms debut as Siegmund in Wagners "Die Walküre". It truly was a rousing performance but I didn't get to hear all of it.The phone rang part way through and I decided to answer it as it was Sarah, one of my closest friends and mother of my god daughter Laura (5). Sarah had some news of Laura's latest "escapades"... Basically she was calling to let me know that Laura had been run over. Thankfully Laura didn't break anything but she did have to be admitted to hospital as she need a skin graft. As Laura's leg went under the wheel of the car, it caused a friction burn whish hasleftr a hole in her ankle.
Thankfully the driver heard Sarah and Steve scream and slowed down, but I cannot keep thinking how incredibly lucky Laura was. Her injuries could have much worse.
I can not imagine what Sarah and Steve must have been feeling when this happened, Imanagedd to loose sleep last night worrying about Laura and her family.
You just don't know what's around the corner do you?
I think I'll be heading off out at lunch to get Laura some toys to keep her occupied whilst she's laid up.
