Festive er... bloodbath!
Saturday, December 04, 2004
It's that time of year isn't it - the silly festive season! . This has been marked with a flurry of activity this morning which involved wrapping the remainder of the presents (the ones I just bought, the last batch), writing and addressing all our Christmas Cards and putting up the decorations. I tend to think it may be a little early for such a thing but December falls oddly this year and I don't get the point in having decorations up to only see them for 12 days of the year. My excuse is that I need to teach Jerry not to climb the tree!
This afternoon has been spent in a completely different environment. After getting stuck on one area of Half Life 2 I have seemed to have progressed at quite a pace. I loved the whole level with the Hovercraft and must admit I though tit was never going to end. Now I am further and further into the game the atmosphere seems to be gripping me and I find myself ducking away from the monitor and my heart pounding in my chest as I turn every corner or open every door. This is definitely the best game I have ever played (and I think the fabulous graphics and the true surround sound help the atmosphere.)
On a laughable note I read that Microsnot have decided to enter the Blogging arena! I suppose we'd better sit back and watch it a) steal everyone's great ideas, b) gazump our favourite products c) buy them out and totally ruin them and d) sit back waiting for even further world domination from the worlds shitiest software house.
KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY BLOGGER GATES!
Oh and Apple is overcharging customers in the UK - well it doesn't take a supreme court to work that out does it! And what's going to be done about it? Probably nothing as usual!
Anyway to brigthen things up - why not have a heavenly choir boy on your mantle throughout 2005?
Oh and OH MY GOD! Isn't it so amazing that William Joseph is just so talented and also so damn cute! (Yes that did sound dead camp but I wanted to get your attention!) My god this guy can certainly tinkle the ivories - he is outstanding. One of my favourite instruments is the piano and he plays it so well. You must take a listen at what he's capable of...
Thanks to MrGregOC I think I may have to check out Avenue Q when we are in New York...
