Waste of my time?

I wrote this huge entry about using alternative methods to get my content online and debating whether I should bother to use them...
(Flickr in particular).Since then I have realised that I have to pay an additional monthly charge for more "sets" in Flickr and am annoyed by this. What's the point? It's very expensive. I pay for web space and will continue to use what I have. Trunk Guy is not about to change!
On a different note - if you have any ides or shots you think I should/could use here as Eye Candy let me know as my resources are running a little low!
