Good news...

First Canada, now Spain ;)

Glad to see the world is changing for the better.

I am also glad to see that Apple have embraced the trend they helped create podcasting by updating iTunes to include a fab new podcasting section both from the iTunes store and via improved usability and features in iTunes 4.9. The Queer Eye cast is a hoot!

Oh and just for fun - you have got to love the Pinto

It's nice to see the Slut back online - welcome back buddy!

It's nice to see some decent crack(!) being featured online. I must admit I am impressed that Randy decided to join in. I wonder if the world is ready (or indeed wants) to see my crack?

Mean and Moody

Wednesday, June 29, 2005

Thanks to BBC Radio 3 I have had a rousing start to the day listening to the free download of Beethoven's 6th Symphony. I needed that this morning as I slept terribly last night.

The storms were great and I agree with Onan and Alastair about thunder. The air has been cleared and things are much cooler but I was really restless last night. Sadly the alarm wasn't very helpful this morning as I managed to sleep through it!

I think we must of been rather dozy last night as Richard's alarm managed to go off this evening! Sad state of affairs really!

We spent some time in London by the river on Sunday and we were experimenting with the EOS. Richard managed to capture this rather dark, moody shot of me (it was sunny!). Anyway, do I pull of dark and brooding? I know I wouldn't approach me on a dark night if I looked like that! Maybe Richard has captured a side of me I have not seen before? Spooky huh?

Check out Xposure to see the fab photo I captured of the Eye.

I noted this rather bizarre invention yesterday which is supposed to help aid swimmers. Sorry but I don't need goggles to help me swim, just a pool full of fit young men will do the trick ;)

Oh yes, Technologic by Daft Punk is a great track but the video is just a little creepy! I much prefer the "French guys in robotic motorcycle helmet" or Manga videos of old!

Parisian Week

Sunday, June 26, 2005

It looks like we should have stayed in Paris for the week!

You go girlfriend!

(Via OhlalaParis)

I know I knocked Pride in earlier posts but that was a knock towards the UK really, hey I have never seen such hotties in any parades here. Apart from my baby I guess I don't rate British guys that highly! (Ooer! I can feel that coming back to haunt me!)

Whilst on the subject of Paris I have uploaded one of the videos I took on my Olympus Stylus Verve. I think this perfectly captures the essence of our post meal stroll from Hotél de Ville to Notré Dame. It really was lovely to sit aloft the Seine and watch the world go by. I wish I was there now (and not just because of the above comments either!). And for those who like to know about details in a movie, keep an eye open for Richard who can be seen walking ahead of me.

I guess I'd better make a move, we plan to head into another of my favourite cities today, London. There's an exhibition we want to see and who knows, the cloud may break and we may be treated to an excellent day milling along the Thames. I do hope so.

Kitty Cool

Saturday, June 25, 2005

Now it's not only Richard and I that are feeling the heat recently. Brandy and Jerry are also trying desperately to keep cool.

In fact as Jerry has a heart murmur I am constantly worried for the poor little fellow. It's not like he can just take off his fur coat is it!

Anyway, this may not help them keep cool but it sure would help them look cool(er). What a fab idea. Chic furniture for puddy cats :)

MEOW!

Janet accepts Humanitarian AwardAfter much hard work I finally fix the hideous flaw in my blog! Of course the blog looks a little different than before but I don't think that is a bad thing.

I just hope it didn't inconvenience any of you?

I guess this is the problem with relying on other peoples technology to help you out.

At least the rest of Trunk Guy was left unaffected!

Oh yes, it is raining, it's much cooler, I am still however sat here in my shorts and I chortle at all the sad people swimming to their favourite rain drenched stage at Glastonbury ;D

Now no one is more pleased than me that Janet (left) received her humanitarian award (and I am a huge Janet fan, don't even get me started on the time my face was thrust into her bossoms!), but I am a little concerned by her current look... Why is it Ms Jackson (cause she's nasty), look like she's gained all her old puppy dog fat from the Control period? I guess it must be stress. Still I am sure in two shakes of her booty she'll be back to her janet., belly baring self in no time.

I am pleased to read that Janet once again is playing ambassador for the Jackson clan. I am sure MJ is very proud of Duncs success.

As an update to this recent post, I can confirm that my trial use with the electric razor is going ok. My skin has had a bit of a reaction to the shaver but the manual does stress that it takes around four weeks for the skin and follicles to adjust. It takes a bit of getting used to but at least it does not appear to be any worse than wet shaving...

Sun has got..?

So the sun has got his hat on and we're all being typically British about it, we're happy it is sunny but still there is a majority of people who seem hell bent on complaining it is too hot! Why are some people never happy?

I know the weather isn't set to last as we have storms forecast for today but at least it does show that summer is eventually with us.

I do find it hard to find places in the world to equal England when the weather is nice.

Even though I have only been at work four days this week it does still seem like a fairly long week. At least it's nearly the weekend and we have some plans. Of course they are weather permitting!

Hopefully we'll get to see Luke's Dragon Boat team row the pants off the opposition tomorrow... ;)

Apparently London Pride is coming up. I suppose that'll be an excuse for the muscle Mary's to show off, the twinks to camp it up and the rest of the Boho queens to get off their tits on one drug or another. When did these events become so predictable? Funny how the people who attend these events end up fitting into gay stereotypes isn't it?

Ah oi!

Tuesday, June 21, 2005

We're back and have had a wonderful time in Paris.

The weather was absolutely brilliant, so good in fact we had to slap on lots of factor 15.

We managed to see a great deal during our break, not least the Paris Air Show.

Our days panned out like this:

Day 1

Arrival, get accustomed to sweltering heat, check into hotel, shower and of the Metro to La Defense. In the evening we went to a favourite restaurant of ours in the Marias followed by a wander around the Pompidou Centre.

Day 2

The Paris Air Show, lots to take in, lots to see. Much craning of the neck. Much application of sun cream and lots of swigging of water! At 34 degrees it sure was a hot one! The show was made even more special by the display of Airbuses which received rapturous applause. Of course the beast, the Airbus A380 received lots of applauses and gasps from the gathered audience, including us.

It's quite amazing that something that weighs over 1 Million tons at take off actually gets off the ground. That said it did and the plane was very graceful in the air. (Strike one Airbus strike zero Boeing ;) ).

After a well deserved break back at the hotel and a refreshing power shower we were ready to go again.

This time we headed to a nice French Canadian restaurant called Equinox in the Marais and I must say the food was lovely. We had a very hearty meal before heading off to Notré Dame to chill at the steps whilst listening to some violinists.

This was followed by ice cream whilst sat watching the boats cruising up and down the Seine.

Cruising is a apt word to use as we were approached by a young French man who "asked us the time" whilst managing to barely keep his shorts on (yes they were that low we could see that much!)

What a fabulous view
Day 3

Of course when we eventually got up (feeling rather tired and achy from being on our feet for two days) we didn't want to check out nor have to think about heading home. We did make the most of the day though.

After leaving our luggage behind we headed into Paris for another hot and sticky day.

After a trip to the Museé Picasso we headed to Hotél de Ville where we frequent the BHV department store. From there we caught the Metro down to the Lourve for lunch before heading into the Tuileries Gardens for a much needed break. After cooling my feet by the sprinklers we found a couple of chairs where we decided to decamp in the shade and watch the (rather gay) world go by... If Paris was designed for one thing it was to people watch.

All too soon we had to head back to the hotel to collect our luggage, not before I managed to persuade Richard to let me go back to BHV to buy a few fabulous things!

As ever with our trips, they appear to be over too quickly but as we packed so much in it does feel that we were away much longer.

I am certain we will be back in Paris very soon as we both adore the city so much.

Until the next time...

As well as the selection of photographs, there are a couple movies which I hope to put online soon ;) Let me know what you think...

Bon Voyage

Friday, June 17, 2005

I doubt I will have much time to blog tonight as I have been getting home really tired and I have so much to do.

At least all the camera's and my phone is charged but I still have to pack for our Parisian adventure tomorrow.

It's an early start too as we have broken with tradition and are flying from Heathrow.

I am really really really looking forward to this trip. I adore Paris so much.

Sunday will be taken up by the Air Show but I have a few ideas of things to take in tomorrow and Monday.

That's why I love Paris (and New York and Barcelona), no matter how often you go there is always something else to grab your attention.

Just to be clear I won't be looking for La Short Arsed Cruise and Bimbette whilst away!

I hope you all have a fab weekend - catch you at the beginning of next week (and no doubt there will be lots of photographs ;¬) )

Man baby yeah!

Thursday, June 16, 2005

Well I decided to ditch my old wet shave routine in favour of an electric razor.

I am not sure it will do a better job but I know it won't cost as much as replacement Gillette blades! How on earth can they get away with charging so much? If you were to follow the directions to the letter you buy a new pack of razors every week and at £7 a packet that's just scandalous.

I'd much rather fork out £30ish for an electric shaver which only needs routine cleaning.

Of course I run the risk of my skin playing up for a while but I am sure the transition won't be so bad...

I know growing my beard back is not an option :) And to be honest it was more hassle than actually shaving!

I was going to write a long piece about Michael Jackson but I won't. All I have to say is I thought he was innocent and am not surprised by the verdict. Why is everyone else so surprised? I think this just sums up the whole circus...

Following on from yesterdays small post I have ordered Royksopp's new album from Play and hope the rest of the album is as good as the new single.

Oh I am counting down the days to Paris, I cannot wait to get on Saturday mornings flight :)

Up, down, flying around...

Monday, June 13, 2005

Hey there, I hope you are all well? I know I have been a bad blogger and have not posted anything for ages... There is good reason as I am still not feeling 100%. I spent most of last week out of the office, trying to shift a tremendous headache. I spent the week not able to watch TV, use the computer or read. All I could do was sleep - I was so bored!

Turns out I have Sinusitus and although it's still nagging at my eye and my cheek, I am feeling better. The antibiotics didn't do me any favours though :(

I am back at work so that determines my level of computer use again!

I just hope I manage to shake the last of this by the weekend as we fly out to Paris on Saturday and I really don't want it spoiling our trip.

I am so looking forward to going, I adore Paris so much. It'll be interesting to see the Paris Air Show too, which we are attending on Sunday. Sounds a bit nerdy but my baby enjoys it (and to be honest I really enjoyed our day at Farnborough last year). If nothing else it's an excuse to eye up all the military men in pilots outfits :) Phowar! LOL

Anyway it's Monday, time for some totty!

Phowar!

Viscious!

Saturday, June 04, 2005

For all of you who asked (Knotty!), I have uploaded a new video of Brandy and Jerry. The video can be access from the vicious link on the page! This illustrates how angry Jerry gets around catnip. I am not sure how strong this pouch is but it must be high grade stuff!

I am feeling quite woozy this morning. I got back from London, tired, congested and soaked (thanks to a major thunder storm). Richard was very kind, making sure I was comfortable. I did turn in really early, only to wake up just past midnight with a screaming headache. I got up had some milk, played with Jerry for a bit, went back to bed. Got up 20 minutes later and went online! This is pretty much how my night panned out. Getting up at 5:30 was not planned but I am up, I cannot sleep but I don't feel that great :(

I think it's just going to be one of those days.

I have a question and wondered if some of you could shed some light on the answer? Why is it when guys post profiles online for any reason, why do they insist on cutting their head out of the frame? If you are looking to chat or for friends, looks shouldn't matter. And if you are happy to display your crack or your sack, what's the point in covering your face? This photo is a good case in point!

Richard picked up some Lomo photograph's for me yesterday and I hope to have them online this weekend.

I am off downstairs to listen to the new DAB Radio Richard purchased yesterday. Thanks to Ste. we are now avid fans of "Chill" ;)

Friday, June 03, 2005

Nope no comments! Why?

Two reasons:

1) I am in The Big Smoke on a training course

2) I am full of Richards cold and feel like plop!

Therefore I really don't want to spend any more time in front of a computer, if I can really help it.

I my cold induced state I did manage to see the Spongebob Squarepants Movie last night which was "Awesome" ;)

Oh and the season finale of Desperate Housewives was as good as expected too :)
