Thanks to Arjan for highlighting the fab bootleg remix project Flip the Switch which is a semi official take on The Chemical brothers new album Push The Button. If you visit the site, please make a charitable donation - it is worth it.

The Prodigy Remix album is also worth a listen - Medusa's Bitch is a fab hybrid of Medusa's Path and Missy Elliott's She's a Bitch - classic!

iDog!

The prize for the bizzarest iPod add on has to go to the iDog (above!). That said, I still want one!

If you are thinking of booking a holiday and need some inspiration why not check out Escape Route - this is a fabulous site devoted to one guys photo journal from his trips around the world.

I feel like I need a bit of an escape route at present as I am trying to decide what to pack for New York. I know it's going to be cold and I know I am going to have to layer, but I want room in my case to bring back lots of goodies... I wonder if the tramp look is in this year in NYC? LOL

To the batcave!

Saturday, January 29, 2005

There is definitely a super hero theme to my blogs this weekend and with good reason. Thanks to the likes of Grayson and Chris Evans showing up in the Fantastic 4, superhero's have never been sexier! That is until now!

Meet the superhero for this new millennium Trunk Guy ;) It is with thanks to Graham and Stu I have been trialling the UK version of City of Hereos and have been battling the bad guys as this buff piece of kit. As you can see he was modelled exactly on me and you will find many of my features in him. The square jaw line, the buff chest, the tight perky butt and the killer dress sense. (Yeah right!). Watch out bad guys, there's a new guy in town and he's ready to beat you up with a rolled up copy of Vogue! LOL

I have made a few tweaks to my NYC Hunks gallery and added another stateside Adonis to the group. I am sure you will agree that Joescba is a very welcome addition to the group:)

This has to be the bizzarest (and oddest) story that I have ever heard to have come from an American Government office. Then again I could be wrong!

At last the truth is out - the real reason for Janet's Wardrobe Malfunction at last years Superbowl...

This Virgin Atlantic advert is also worth a look - very funny!

It would seem there is still a bit of snow in the USA!A bit of a drift!
Please, please, please vote to keep Chris Evans in the Top 10!

Not content with trying to produce the summer blockbuster (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Tim Burton is also trying to grab the Halloween market with The Corpse Bride. This film is the same animation style as A Nightmare Before Christmas (which I adore) so I am really looking forward to it. As a Tim Burton fan it would seem that it is going to be a very good year :)

Holy jockstraps!

Friday, January 28, 2005

Anyone who had a slight thing for Robin over Batman should check out the rather fab trailers at Grayson. It's quite amazing that this is an independent production, it's definitely worth a look.

Thanks to Towleroad for bringing the delectable Chris Evans to my attention too. What a stud! Boy this is hot! So hot in fact he's flaming! Which is kinda scary as he plays the Human Torch in the forthcoming Fantastic 4 movie (see what I did with that link? Clever huh! LOL). Anyway the trailer is worth checking, if only to see this boy in Lycra!

Some of you may recall that I took part in the filming of a special program for the BBC in the summer called How to Sleep Better... Well after some delay (and possibly lots of post production to help me look human), the show has been given a date to air. It's due to be broadcast on BBC One in the UK on Wednesday 2nd February at 8 pm. Typically I won't be here as we are in New York so if anyone has a DVD recorder, can they record it for me? I cannot guarantee you will see me as lots of us took part but hey you never know!

Well it really has been one of those weeks and to be honest I have been working so much I honestly don't think I am going to have too much trouble falling asleep! Then again I am getting very excited about my birthday (Tuesday) and New York (Wednesday) that I may not be able to sleep as a result :) Yes, that's right I am just a big kid!

I was quite adamant that I wanted an iPod Shuffle but now I have seen the NaviPad I am not so sure! What is it? It's a device that attaches to your iPod and streams the music to either a little player where you attach your headphones or to a set of headphones using Bluetooth. Judging by the review at iPodLounge it's a good piece of kit and it would mean I could keep my iPod safely out of site and still have all my music with me. Sadly though it's double the price of a Shuffle so I think I will need to consider this a bit more (then again it is my birthday next week...!)

And it's good news for Janet as she is to attend the Superbowl Party next week. Good! At least this shows there are some Americans out there who are not terrified of an exposed nipple and can see the whole incident for what it was. An accident!

Is there really a market for a Jesus Butt Plug? I would say no but what do I know? Thanks for the link Iain - not!!!

Thanks to everyone for the very kind anniversary wishes, Richard and I would like to say a great big thank you for all your support.

Has anyone noticed the new rolling banners at the top of the page? :(((((

Oh yes, on last thing! Alejandro, what's wrong with my musical tastes? What would you rather I listened to? LOL

California!

Tuesday, January 25, 2005

Hurrah! All hail the new season of the OC!

I didn't realise how much I was hooked (well maybe I did) - it's so good to have some quality, high gloss, teenage trash back on our screens.

And the first episode, full of semi naked beauties had nothing to do with it - honest! (Yes Luke I mean the men!)

Snow joke

Sunday, January 23, 2005

A lone pedestrian braving the snow in NYC

This Charming Man has captured the weather perfectly

It's odd that we started to regularly view the NYC Web Cams and typically it started to snow... Now I know I was expecting it to be cold but boy have they been hit with some freaky weather! Looks like I will be packing an extra set of thermals then!

Something that could help keep me warm is this god ;) Thanks to Axius Photograpy for bringing him to my attention - wow! What a stunner. Of course nothing can come close to my baby.

Another interesting photography site I found yesterday was Manopoly - not as polished or as buff as the subjects at Axius but still worth a look.

I never thought I'd say this but I am totally addicted to Jennifer Lopez's new track Get Right. On first listen I hated it but then the sax hook took hold and it was just too late to care!

In the absence of anything new from Miss Jackson this is totally hot. I don't think anyone else can touch it. (And any Janet fan worth their salt will be able to spot Tina Landon's choreography in the video a mile off!)

One of those days weeks!

Friday, January 21, 2005

I have been a bit quiet this week as it's been a little odd again.

Following the news from home last week I received further bad (and impending bad news) this week.

As is typical what with one thing and another I have come down with some bug and am not feeling too great. It does not help that I went to my Doctor Friday morning who informed me when I choked on a potato (no comment!) at the weekend I have scorched and badly damaged my throat/larynx. I guess my immune system must have been low as I have also been hit pretty hard by the latest bug circulating around the office A/C!

He can renovate me if he likes!Of course there is always some benefit in vegging in front of pointless daytime TV - oh no hang on, no there isn't! I did spot the lovely Jay McGraw yesterday though - Renovate My Family is a terrible show but he's really sweet and makes it worth staying awake!

Hmmm tastyI don't make an effort to watch Big Brother and especially not Celebrity Big Brother but hey; there's no harm is oggling Jeremy Edwards walking around in his boxers if I just happen to be flicking through E4 - is there?

I am so fed up - I hate being ill and after being told to "rest my voice and throat" all I can think to do is sleep and ramble in emails!

Anyway I must look onwards and upwards I guess.

As you may have read from my previous entry, I managed to complete Half Life 2. I was very happy about this originally but now I am not so - I was elated to have finished but to be honest the end of the game did not really stand up to my expectations (especially as the quality of the game is astonishing). I am trying to find something to fill the void HL2 has left behind but haven't found it yet. G and S have let me borrow Far Cry but I'm not convinced...

To brighten up my PC someone did recommend playing around with Montage-a-Google but to be honest the results have been poor... I was thinking of creating an interesting wallpaper for my computer or my phone but I have given up!

What a fine specimen!I hear from the BBC that Monday the 24th January is the most hated day of the year - let's put it this way if I don't feel any better I will be inclined to agree!

I also read that schools in the UK are to study Gay History - now I am torn over this subject, half of me thinks it's a good idea and the other half is not so sure...

I remember seeing a search tool some years ago called Alexa but have not investigated it recently as it tended to install loads of crap on your machine. It's had a bit of a face lift and now resembles Amazon! I am still not sure how useful it is though! Has anyone else had any experience with it?

I would like to thank the lord for D&G though - their new fall collection is divine - well the models are anyway! Rough trade is the category I'd give them and I am sure you'd like them as much as I do ;)

Well it's not long until Richard and I get on that 747 and head off to NYC. I cannot wait! I am aware how close it is but with all that has and is going on at present the break is more than welcome! Then again my birthday is the day before so which should I be looking forward to the most?

Show us your hose!Whilst we are in New York I think it should be my duty to hunt out the FDNY Calendar for 2005 - judging by the cover it looks like something I'd definitely like to have hanging in my house this year!

The flight on the 747 will be fun but I am really looking forward to stepping inside the new Airbus A380. Hopefully we may get a glimpse of it if we head off to the Paris Air Show as planned.

I have spent some time creating a new gallery which features young college/university guys. They are not normally my thing (well not twinks or chickens), but I have had a request to add some. This gallery contains a small selection - if you have any images you'd like me to add or if you'd like to be included then please contact me.

If you don't see any snow this year and you feel left out, maybe this little piece of flash might help!

Worth the wait?

Monday, January 17, 2005

What am I on about?

I finished Half Life 2 and to be honest - yes it was worth the wait and ALL the effort.

What a fabulous game, I feel a sequel coming on!

If you do crack this you have to watch the closing credits ;)

Fabulous.

Just in the nick of...

Photo's a go-go

I have decided to upload photographs to a separate web site to help me spend more time enjoying myself than actually putting pictures online! My photo's from days out etc will be placed at trunkguy.zoto.com and I will be interested to hear what you think. Don't forget to have a browse around and to leave a rating or comment for me.

Normal?
let me get this straight, if you are not a Big Muscle Gay or a Bear you are simply a "Normal"? What's that all about?

Take Str8 soap in2 the shower?

Saturday, January 15, 2005

Now I am sure someone has thought of some lame gag about "dropping it!" - but you won't hear that from me, nosireeee!

Busted
Oh and Busted are Busted! What a shame. What a damn shame. What a huge loss to the world of entertainment. I am mortified. What will I listen to now? Oh yeah right, I never did listen to them as they were crap - long live decent music!

...and Ricky Martin has been in Southern Thailand to visit the Orphans of the Tsunami disaster - why!?

Keep the body moving

It's one of those weekends - in fact after the news we received this week it has been a little odd.

Richard has gone out and I wanted to upload a new entry, funnily enough I don't have anything inspiring to write!

I have had a good browse around the web today though and have come across Zoto. At least it would seem that I have found a good, free photo archiving web site. It's not the best or the quickest but it does the job. Want to share your photo's? I suggest you take a look.

Right I think I may get back to Half Life 2 - I am trying to stop the head of the enemy getting away in his portal bubble but cannot seem to be able to stop him - any ideas? (At least it feels like I am near the finish)

Sadly he passed away this morning.

Eight years old!

Early Observations

Sunday, January 09, 2005

The Observer are running a piece on the 50 things to do while you wait for spring.

As usual they have picked a good list. I cannot say I would want to do all of them but there are a few points worth noting (and no I am not going to be so obvious and stereotypically gay as to mention Doctor Who! (I have some taste!))

  1. Matisse at the RA - definitely a good enough reason to renew ones membership
  2. Acorn Antiques The Musical - already have our tickets sweetie ;)
  3. The Magic Roundabout - be honest you know you want to see it too!
  4. The Apprentice UK - may not be as good as the original US version with Donald Trump but it'll be worth a look
  5. Ray Charles Biopic - sadly missed but hopefully immortalised in this movie

Not just for Christmas

How cute, but thankfully all these kittens are reservedRichard and I don't make any secret that we visit our local RSPCA Centre on a regular basis. Brandy and Jerry came from there and we feel it's worth going back to donate some food and to give the cats some much needed attention.

It is always a pleasure to see the pens marked as reserved or empty, what's not so nice is seeing the place full to capacity.

Once again Christmas has passed and once again it would seem lots of people have bought pets they cannot house - why? It's so cruel. If you are allergic, have a partner that does not like animals, an uncontrollable obnoxious child or are moving then don't get a pet.

This may sound like a bizarre statement but it's the reasons listed on the pens of all the cats there at present.

Brandy and JerryMost of these loving animals just want shelter, food and some love. It really breaks my heart to see how little people consider the implications of purchasing a pet for Christmas. When will people learn?

As you can see Brandy and Jerry are very content and very much part of a loving home, ours.

I have managed to spend a couple hours this weekend running around Half Life 2 and have noted how the pace has picked up. It would seem that in Anticitizen Zone you are faced with all the horrors of the previous level and much more. I am getting to the point where turning a corner is causing me nightmares! I wonder how far away the Citadel is?

Thankfully the weather has calmed down (although the report for later isn't good) - with all the wind and rain we have had over the past couple of days it's just been too miserable to get out and do anything. I cannot wait for spring.

Bloomers!

Saturday, January 08, 2005

Well it's the New Year and for once I have not entered it with a pile of unwanted undear from C&A - thankfully I avoided all the stereotypical Christmas gifts this year!

It makes it more fun when looking for new undies anyway - how? Well by checking out such sites as C-IN2, Skiviez (what a great name), Muscle Baby, New Urban Male or Fresh Pair.

Mind you, why stop at undies? Why not look around for some fab new tee's too? :) Maybe even checking out The Boys Club.

Then again I could just be a little more patient and wait until I get to New York at the end of the month!

Razr Shrp!

Friday, January 07, 2005

It arrived! My fab new Motorola V3 Razr arrived yesterday and it was well worth the wait.

Orange have bundled the phone direct from Motorola with it's swish aluminium capsule box which houses a number of goodies including a cover, belt clip, hands free kit, USB cable, software and other bits and pieces :)

The best item in the box has to be the phone though! It's a slim line aluminium box of loveliness!

Thankfully the Motorola menu system is very similar to that of my old Sony Ericsson so I found it easy to use, it's very intuitive. The reception is great and the sound is crystal clear. When the phone is open I think it is the perfect size from ear to mouth and as the microphone protrudes the base of the handset it's also visible when you use it.

I have a gripe with polyphonic and real tone phones as I don't think they are loud enough but this phone packs a punch - for such a small unit it is very loud. The loudspeaker is nice and crisp too.  The vibrate features are also customisable so you can actually feel it go off in your pocket using a series of different pulses.

All the usual bits and pieces are included with the phone such as a camera, a media section etc but I love the fact that on such a small phone Motorola have managed to add two full colour screens.

The "laser etched" keypad does take a little getting used to but once you do you can skim your fingers around the plate with ease.

I was a little worried about the phone being so slim as some cases can be very flimsy - thankfully this is not the case with the V3 as it is completely aluminium.  The phone does stay cold to the touch too which is a little odd!

The 8Mb of memory is shared between all the functions. I thought all the included tones, mp3's and videos would fill it up but I still have 5 Mb to spare! This means the amount of information I can store in my phone book is limitless (this uses the same memory)!

James DentonThe Razr really is a very sexy piece of kit and I am very happy to have changed my handset. I am also very happy to have switched to Orange as I experienced no set-up problems, texts and mms messages are sent immediately and the customer service department seem to know what they are talking about.  It all seems a world away from O2!

Thanks to John Swords for the heads up - thankfully my V3 doesn't have this idiosyncrasy!)

The Plymouth Albion Rugby Club calendar arrived today too - just have to find a wall strong enough to hold up this collection of masculinity and brawn :)

This chunky hunk is James Denton and he plays Mike Delfino in the fabulous series Desperate Housewives - he can check out my plumbing anytime!

Mow my lawn!I hope this doesn't give Brandy and Jerry any ideas!

I am quite surprised no one made any comments regarding Santa Baby :(

Thanks to Mike MK for this fab link - definitely worth a wank look! It's definitely better than the Scissor Sisters video I mentioned yesterday!

This gorgeous hunk is Jesse Metcalfe and he plays John the gardener in the new series Desperate Housewives. Since the demise of Sex and The City I am looking to this show for my new fix. Then again with Jesse on screen, who really cares about the plot (geddit!)

Filthy?

Tuesday, January 04, 2005

What makes me think Scissor Sisters are after the gay market with their new video?

If you ask me I think it's all a bit passé, Prince was doing this sort of thing in the early 80's and it was much better too!

Maybe he'll call me...

Monday, January 03, 2005

What is it with me and retail?

I have been really good and avoided all the stores and every sale as there was nothing I wanted, plus I am saving my pennies for our trip to NYC... Today however I caved in!

To start I raided the sales and bought myself a substantial winter coat as I know the weather will be a tad chilly in New York so I wanted to go prepared. And it only cost me £20 instead of £70!

Motorola V3 RazrSecondly I fell foul of my usual habit of investigating a product online to the point of purchase. My Z600 has been playing up for ages. The breaking point was when I didn't recieve a text Richard sent as the damn thing had switched itself off. I am tired of owning a mobile that objects to being switched on and paying for a network that are unable to fix the problem. Therefore I have taken the plunge, told 02 where to go, cancelled my contract and ordered a new phone :) I would have liked to have had it today to set up but the Orange store were expecting me to pay an extra £50 for the privilege! I can wait a couple of days and save myself the money!

This is exactly the phone I wanted and the tariff seems to be far more agreeable than anything 02 can offer ;)

Expect a full review soon...

Oh and whilst on the subject of technology, this has to be the weirdest idea for a USB port!!!

... up one?

Sunday, January 02, 2005

Dan Ward SmithRichard and I returned home from the south west today. We had a lovely week with our friends and families.

We have managed circumnavigate the city but as usual we didn't manage to squeeze in visits to everyone - never mind, it cannot be helped!

Andy PerryNew Years Eve was a nice affair, my parents went out which allowed Richard and I to spend a quiet evening together. We received a number of invites but thought it best to avoid all parties as not to offend anyone and to give us a break! I cannot think of a better way to spend the final moments of 2004 than with my baby.

Ed BarnesI don't think there is a great deal to report from the trip as we were literally running around doing our usual meet and greet. Of course as visited after Christmas, we did receive some belated Christmas gifts and attended two birthday bashes (see we were busy!).

Brett LuxtonI watched the Channel 4 documentary about the Naked British Calendars and was intrigued by just how many people have stripped off in the name of charity! Does anyone know where I can get a copy of last years Gloucester Gardeners calendar?

Danny ThomasThe calendar at home is a bit sedate this year as we received one for Christmas that features some lovely black and white shots of cats. I have beefed up the view though as I just purchased the Plymouth Albion Rugby Club calendar, as you will be able to tell from the various photo's peppered throughout this post they certainly have some top hunks in the team :)

BTW as a post Christmas, pre NYC present hint - I want a pair of these to help me keep my luggs warm in NYC!

Thanks to everyone for the very kind wishes for the new year, I hope you all have a great, safe, peaceful and fun 2005!
