Spanish Hunks
Sunday, February 29, 2004
I am pleased that the new Spanish Hunks gallery has proven so popular. This weekend it went live with three participants and already I have an additional three more ;)
Why didn't I think of this before?!

New Gallery
Friday, February 27, 2004
I was considering adding a new gallery to Trunk Guy and wasn't sure what the "theme" should be. As I just got back from Spain I thought a gallery devoted to Spanish Hunks would be a cool idea. This is much like the existing Real Men gallery whereby all the participants are real guys, not models or celebrities.
I hope you like it.

26 January 2004 - Sitges and Barcelona
Thursday, February 26, 2004
Richard and I have just returned from a weeks break in Spain. We stayed in the coastal resort of Sitges, just outside of Barcelona. This weekend was the weekend of the celebrations for Lent so we visited to enjoy the festivities and to revel in the pleasantries of this time of year.
You may recall we visited Sitges and Barcelona last year; we had such a nice time we decided to repeat the trip.
Once again Richard's friends were also enjoying the celebrations. It was really nice to see Paul, Chris, Wayne, Peter, Barry and Doug again. They are a really good group and I am sure it's fair to say we all had a great time.
Our flight in on the Saturday was a bit hairy as the pilot announced he would have to use the auto pilot to land then plane due to the thick fog in Barcelona - thankfully the landing was fine and the weather cleared that day!
We saw two of the carnivals that took place late in the evening in Sitges and joined in the revelry with the Spanish and fellow tourists.
Richard and I took a couple of days out of Sitges to visit Barcelona and Gerona. I enjoyed both days and when in Barcelona we managed to see a few sights we hadn't seen last year (Sagrada Familia and the Santa Maria del Mar).
Neither of us had been to Gerona before so we got ourselves up early to catch the train north. On first inspection it didn't look too different from Barcelona, but once you leave the "new city" behind and explore the medieval city it's a completely different place. I really loved the atmosphere and the history of Gerona, especially observing the town from one of the watch towers, exploring the medieval cathedral which dates back to 957 and wandering around the alleyways and cobbled streets.
There are a number of photographs on the web for you to browse - I hope you enjoy looking through them.
Who knows we may see you there next year!

Playing catch up!
Friday, February 20, 2004
Well I guess I should mention that I had a rather momentous occasion a couple weeks ago - I reached 30! I know I am practically old age in gay years but there you go! (My baby still loves me!).
I had a lovely birthday and celebrated over a couple of days, mainly due to commitments and the weather (why does it always snow on my birthday?).
Do I feel any older - no! Does it worry me I am 30 - no!
Thanks to everyone who sent me regards and well wishes for the big day ;o)

My First Entry - ooer!
This is my first "proper" post to my "Blog" and I hope to use this as an alternative to "Life" - I will trial it anyway and see how I go with it.
Let me know what you think of it? Email me your thoughts
Well we are off to Barcelona tomorrow and I cannot wait! I am sure we'll have a lovely time - I guess it's just a case of hoping and praying it won't be too cold (the long range weather forecast does not look very inviting!).
Oh well I am sure we'll have a whale of a time ;)
